Most of the leading companies of the surface heating and cooling industry have joined our association to exchange information and to activate the relations between competitors in a common market.

Organization of eu-ray
The goal is to have two active committees: Marketing and Technical and a General Manager for eu-ray. The following lists the different bodies in the organization plan and what activities they cover General Manager with Secretariat The General Manager with its Secretariat shall administrate the organisation including board, technical committee and marketing committee together with the homepage.
Secretariat Tasks:
Main address for eu-ray.
Distribute incoming information or requests (e-mails, letter, phone calls) to the appropriate committees (Marketing, Technical) or members, updating of Home-Page, budget.
Organize General assembly once a year (together with a local representative who will host the meeting. Organize board meetings twice a year (could go on turn between the board members).
In charge of writing annual repport.
Administration of library with technical papers and distribution of papers to members or requests from outside.
Call for technical and/or marketing meetings if needed. Most of the activities would probably be by mail and internet managing-tools.
Distribute information on standardisation, which are received from the CEN committees, where eu-ray is liaison.
Update the page based on material received from members, marketing or technical committee.
Forward received questions to marketing or technical committee. Mail requested papers and/or information.
Homepage
The homepage should be an important tool for communication and for marketing within and outside eu-ray.
Homepage must include several examples of applications in all type of building. Material (pictures, text) to be delivered by the company members without company names.
Through the homepage it must be possible to download publication related to surface heating and cooling systems.
A general description of surface heating and cooling in several languages (English, German, French, Italien, Spanish) must be available.
Marketing
eu-ray support the marketing of the technology we represent. Several of the national associations are doing marketing activities at the national level.
eu-ray helps national association by transferring some of the marketing’s effort from one country to another. Often the same material may be used. Also in countries, where there are no national associations. eu-ray can together with the companies represented in the country support marketing activities.
On many issues the marketing committee will need technical support from the technical committee.
Technical Committee
The technical committee has two main activities: Standardisation and technical support Each eu-ray member can or should appoint a representative for technical questions.
Technical:
Provide general text describing the benefits of our systems. Must be on the homepage in many languages.
Provide published technical papers for the eu-ray library. These papers can then be requested by members or other interested persons.
Answer on technical questions received over the homepage or by correspondence.
Standardisation:
Follow European Standardisation activities as they get more and more important for our business.
Through the liaison to TC’s like CEN/TC 89 Thermal Performance of Buildings and Building Components, CEN/TC130-Space heating appliances without integral heat sources, CEN/TC 228-Heating systems in buildings, CEN/TC 247 – Controls for “Mechanical building services” comment on the ongoing work and establish a common eu-ray opinion on the prepared documents. Try to get eu-ray members to influence the national votes on standards, which are important for the members of eu-ray. Especially the work on standards for embedded surface heating and cooling systems (which were started on the initiative from eu-ray) under TC 228 must be followed carefully.
Through contacts at the European Commission also try to influence European directives.
