On 26 April 1990 the European umbrella organisation of associations and companies in the radiant floor heating sector was created with the approval of the statutes of the « EUROPEAN RADIANT FLOOR HEATING ASSOCIATION e.V. (ERFA)». Since 2002 the association becomes : «eu-ray EUROPEAN ASSOCIATION OF SURFACE HEATING AND COOLING» because of the more and more upcoming, quiet similar radiating technology of cooling panels from 1995 on. Eu-ray developed a wide range of activities and was able to exert a significant influence on the drafting of the European standards and is helpful in exchange of experiences and promoting the European market.
